When I was diagnosed with HCM it was in conjunction with ablation for Atrial Fibrillation at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.  I was in recovery awaiting discharge and playing Google doctor instead of talking with my doctor.  During that time I found the HCMA and the resources on their website.  It provided me with hope instead of simply reading stories about sudden cardiac death as I began my HCM journey.  I will be forever grateful.
